Marsis is a band from the Black Sea region in Turkey. The band makes music from this region, which makes the members feel strongly connected. In addition, by their performances, Marsis keeps the languages that have traditionally been spoken in the Black Sea region. Lyric texts of different peoples along the Black Sea are heard beside the Turkish: from the Georgians and Armenians to the Greeks.
